Ahimsa is the Sanskrit word for “non-violence”. We wish to raise awareness of the importance of cruelty-free milk and to show the mutually beneficial relationship that can be established between cows and human beings. In ancient India, cows and bulls were protected and lovingly cared for throughout their lives. They are an integral part of sustainable agriculture as they produce natural fertiliser and fuel, help with ploughing or milling, and provide transportation around the farm.
By living and bonding with cows, we naturally develop qualities of compassion and respect for all living beings.
In light of today’s climate crisis, it is urgent that we rethink our cattle farming practices; thus, this Ahimsa farm hopes to present a sustainable alternative and model, wherein cows freely roam the pastures, calves are never separated from their mothers, homeopathy is used to preserve their health, and their diet is well-balanced and perfectly adapted to their needs.
